For many of us, we spend our days in a place of comfort.

“Breaking the La Z Boy spirit”

Matt. 10: 16- sending you out as sheep among wolves.

Matt. 28: 19-20- go and make disciples of all nations.

God wants us to have comfort in Him and His Spirit. That’s our place of comfort. He doesn’t want us to always stay in a place of comfort. He wants us to walk from safety sometimes. Jesus did just that. He left the safety of heaven to live here in through difficulty of earth.

Jesus didn’t live in a comfort zone. We have been given eternal comfort, but we can’t get caught up in pursuing comfort on earth. God wants us to step into areas of faith that God has for us.

We are called to advance the kingdom of God. At times, this will stretch us. We must be ready to be uncomfortable for Jesus, because He became uncomfortable for us.

Jesus came to kick us out of our recliners.

1. We must learn to become uncomfortable. Acts 1: 8- you will receive power…and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth.
We must get up in order to walk in His power. He has so much more for our lives.

2. We must sow the seeds.
Matt. 13: 1-8 -Parable of the Sower.
2 Tim. 4: 5- do the work of an evangelist.

The word of God did not come to bring information, but transformation. It pushes us out of our comfort zone.

When we refuse to step outside of our comfort zone, we condemn the world to hell.

Jesus came to mess us up and stretch our lives!!
